Offered here on Etsy for the first time, we are ecstatic to finally present you these fantastic mills. This "pair" of Salt and Pepper grinders are 6" and 8" tall. The mechanism is the same in each so you can decide which is salt and which is pepper. The different sizes makes it easy to distinguish the two at a glance.
The most important part of any grinder is the mechanism. I use the Crushgrind ceramic mechanism made in Denmark. These mechanisms are truly amazing and the manufacturer offers a 25 year guarantee on the ceramic parts. Perfect for salt and pepper the grinder will also crush herbs, spices and even coffee beans.
I make the grinders in pairs cut from the same plank so that the grain patterns will complement each other. To fill the grinder simply lift the top off, fill and replace. The coarseness of the grind can be altered by a simple twist of a knob on the bottom. These mills are simply a joy to use. A beautiful handcrafted gift that would make an excellent wedding or housewarming gift or simply a treat for yourself.
*Here in the pictures you will notice that each is a different color, an option which is also available for custom orders. I can dye lighter woods red, green, blue, yellow, black or brown.
